Cookies
The websites of ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG use cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via a web browser.
Many websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters through which websites and servers can be associated with the specific web browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited websites and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from any other web browser that contains any other cookies. A specific web browser may be recognised and identified by a unique cookie ID.
By use of cookies, ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG may provide users of this website with user-friendly services that would be impossible without setting the cookie.
A cookie may optimise the information and offers on our website for the benefit of the user. Cookies enable us, as mentioned before, to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is making it easier for users to use our website. For instance, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to enter his access data again every time when he visits the website because this is taken care of by the website and the cookie stored on the user’s computer system.
The data subject may prevent setting of cookies by our website at any time by making the corresponding setting in the web browser used and thereby permanently object to setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies already set may be erased at any time via a web browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common web browsers. If the data subject deactivates setting of cookies in the web browser used, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.
Purpose of data recording and possible transfer of data
We will only collect personal data if you provide these on your own, e.g. within the context of registration for our supplier portal or a survey. Data are input in the areas described below:
Contact form
The contact form offers potential users the option of sending queries directly to E ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG. The website also contains information based on statutory rules (e.g. in the imprint) that permit quick electronic contact with our company (e.g. via the email address). If a person contacts us by email or through a contact form, the personal data transferred by this person will be stored automatically. Such personal data that are transferred to us freely are stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. Generally, the personal data are not passed on to any third parties, unless it is necessary for the initiation or settlement of a contract. For instance, it may be necessary that we need to forward personal data to our distributors in order to answer your request.
Application
You can submit your application via our career portal. When you apply to us, we process the information we receive from you during the application process, e.g. application letter, CV, references, etc. In addition to your contact details, information about your education, qualifications, work experience and skills are particularly relevant to us. We will only assess you based on your suitability for the position in question, so you do not need to send us a photo. Your data will initially be processed exclusively for the purpose of the application process and to decide on an employment relationship. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data are Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your application is successful, your personal data will become part of your personnel file. All applications will remain with us for up to 6 months after the selection process has been completed and will then be permanently deleted. If it is clear that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired, e.g. due to an (impending) legal dispute, it will be deleted when it is no longer required for the respective purpose. In the event that your application has aroused our interest but we are currently unable to offer you a position, we request your express consent to store your applicant data in our applicant pool for a longer period of time so that we can consider you for future job vacancies. In this case, Art. 6 para. 1 lit a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the longer storage period. This consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be collected or processed by persons responsible for handling your application.
We use the applicant management software Coveto from coveto ATS GmbH, Alois-Thums-Straße 11, 63667 Nidda (referred to as the ‘career portal’) to process and store applicant data. Applicants enter the necessary data in an input mask on the career portal on our website and upload their application documents. Before sending the application, the declaration of consent to data storage must be submitted. After the application has been sent, it is forwarded to the service provider and transferred to the internal database. The Human Resources department initially has access to this database and can involve the relevant parties within the company in the selection process by granting access.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In Europe: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and that permit analysis of your use of the website. The information produced by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transferred to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. In case you enabled the anonymisation of your IP address on this website, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google, however, within the Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptions will your full IP address be transferred to a server of Google in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, in order to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services connected to website use and internet use vis-à-vis the website operator. The IP address submitted by your browser within the context of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other data of Google. You may prevent storage of the cookies by making the corresponding settings in your browser software; however, note that you may be unable to fully use all functions of the website in such a case. You may furthermore prevent recording of the data generated by the cookie and referring to your use of the website (including your IP address) and processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
For more details on this, see
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). Note that Google Analytics has been expanded by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” on this website, in order to ensure anonymised recording of IP addresses (IP masking).
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. This is a solution from Google LLC that allows website tags to be managed via a user interface. Google Tag Manager itself works via a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal data. It is only used to trigger other tags, which may collect data themselves. We would like to expressly point this out here. Google Tag Manager itself does not access this data. If users have deactivated tracking at the domain or cookie level, this setting will also apply to all tracking tags integrated via Google Tag Manager. On behalf of the website operator, Google uses this information to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Pseudonyms are used for this purpose. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.
DoubleClick by Google
Our website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google to display personalised advertising, analyse campaign performance and prevent duplicate ads. To do this, DoubleClick uses cookies that assign a pseudonymous ID to your browser. This ID enables information about ads that have been displayed and clicked on, as well as possible conversions – for example, through subsequent interactions on our website – to be collected. According to Google, the cookies do not contain any personal data.
The information generated by the cookies is transferred to Google servers in the USA and stored there. We have no influence on the scope and further use of this data by Google. It is possible that Google may record your IP address and, in particular in the case of logged-in Google users, associate the website visit with a user account.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent. In addition, you can deactivate the collection and processing of cookie data by Google via the following page: https://myadcenter.google.com/home?hl=en
Social Media
We create online presences within social networks in order to communicate with the interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about us. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
User data may be processed by the operator of the social media portal (service provider) outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users' rights.
In the following, we inform you about the processing of your personal data carried out by us in the context of the online presences provided by us. In its ruling of June 5, 2018, the ECJ confirmed the joint responsibility of the service provider and the website operator.
The social media page you visit offers you the opportunity to respond to our posts, comment on them, create a user post yourself and send us private messages with personal requests. The data you provide in this context and which may be accessible to us (e.g. user name, images, interests, contact details) will be used by us exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and interests. Our interest lies in offering you a platform on which we can display current information and with the help of which you can address your request to us and we can respond to your request as quickly as possible.
We also use social plugins for social networks on our websites. You can recognize the plugins of the respective providers by their logo. When you visit a page with such a plugin, the operator of the service is informed which pages you visit. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the service provider can assign this visit to your user account. We use the “Shariff” tool to allow this data transfer only after you have given your consent. The so-called “Shariff buttons” establish direct contact between the social network and you. If you actively click on the share button and thus give your consent to data transmission, only then does the browser establish a direct connection to the servers.
We do not carry out any further data processing in addition to the basic functions of the site. Please note, however, that the service provider may use tracking tools and cookies independently of our use of the site and that data may be collected even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal.
For more details on this, see Data Protection Social Media
Legal basis of processing
Article (6)(I)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations in our company for which we collect consent for a specific processing purpose. If processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, e.g., during processing operations that are required for delivery of goods or rendering of any other service or compensation, processing shall be based on Article (6)(I)(b) GDPR. The same shall apply to such processing operations that are required in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. in cases of queries concerning our products and services. If our company is subject to any legal obligation through which processing of personal data is required, e.g. for compliance with tax obligations, processing is based on Article 6(I)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Period for which the personal data will be stored
The criteria for the period of storage of personal data are the respective statutory archiving periods. After the end of the time limit, the corresponding data will be routinely erased if they are no longer required for performing the contract or preparing the contract.

You have the right, at any time, to obtain access to your data stored by us and the purpose of storage. You can withdraw your consent to storage or use of your personal data at any time in writing. In addition to the withdrawal, you have the right to obtain rectification and restriction of processing and blocking or erasure of your data.
You have the right to contact the corresponding supervisory authority for complaints. You also have the right to receive the data transmitted to you for transfer in a machine-readable format. Furthermore, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, Art. 21 GDPR.
If you have any questions regarding processing of your personal data, you may also contact us directly (for controller: see imprint). For any questions and inquiries for information, requests or complaints, you may also contact our external data protection officers directly.

ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG uses technical and organisational safety measures in order to protect your data provided to ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG from accidental or wilful manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.
Our security measures will be improved continually according to the technological developments.
